The Ultrasound of Gummy Bear

So I'm new to this being pregnant a 3rd time in a new city. Needless to say, this 3rd pregnancy was the most awesome surprise anyone could ask for!!! During my first visit to the doctor, I begged and begged for an ultrasound to confirm when it happened. He didn't give me an ultrasound stating that they would cost me too much money (I really didn't care about the cost but he didn't ask me that). Anyway, when he told me I was 6 weeks along at my first visit, I knew that was not correct.

My visit on Tuesday proved me right:-) With the ultrasound, I was told that I am only 8 weeks and 2 days (as of 11/2/10). The baby's heartbeat was 168...good and strong!!! AND there is only 1 baby!!! The kids were a little surprised at the size of the baby in the picture (I think they were expecting to see a fully formed baby) and after taking a look at the picture, they weren't very interested anymore.

As far as me, I'm doing fine!!! My cravings/aversion are really weird this time around. For Abby, I knew I was pregnant because I could taste a boiled egg sandwich in my mouth (I hadn't had one in months). I couldn't drink Orange Juice because Abby didn't and still doesn't like it. Milk and Ice Cream were my best friends with Abby. For Ryan, I had the typical pickles cravings but more aversion than with Abby. With this pregnancy, I have had the most aversions, but the aversions all being with smell. If it doesn't smell right then I can't even think about that food or I will be sick. Thankfully this is quickly subsiding and I am able to eat more or I'm having an easier time finding foods that I want to eat. Other than that I'm excited and hoping for a girl, because God only gives you what you can handle, right.
